Re: Parent/Teacher conference calendars?

After trying out our google docs system for the first time- Most parents
were happy with it. Some were not. Some parents did have their slots
"accidently" changed by others- and I can see the revision history so I know
that one parent in particular was responsible for most of these problems(for
whatever reason- on purpose, by accident, or ??)

The biggest problems we had were with parents who don't read the online (and
emailed) school newsletters and were unaware of the change and the parents
who decided not to bother try to do it online and called in to the office to
ask the office staff to do it for them. Not sure what to do about that.
We'll be talking about it over the next week or so to see what can be/needs
to be changed.

But on the positive side- I got several emails from parents thanking me for
doing this, saving the gas and time for them to come in to sign up and for
trying to "go green" and eliminate some of the paper generated in the past.

If you use a wiki for this you at least can check the history of a
page and recover if need be.

we don't worry about parents, but impulsive students. so we don't
publish the link to the conferences where students can see it.
