Disrupting Class ... Yet Again

A couple of notes related to the topic of "Disrupting Class" by
Christiansen, Horn and Johnson.

1. Arvind Grover, Alex Ragone and Vinnie Vrotny had an interesting
interview last week with the book's co-author Curtis Johnson. You can
listen to the podcast here: http://edtechtalk.com/21cl_87

2. I was looking around on lynda.com (http://www.lynda.com/) and
discovered that they now offer an online training academic program.
(http://www.lynda.com/edu-media/). The program is described below. This
seems to be yet another example supporting the theory of change in
Disrupting Class.

Assign 5 lynda.com courses for less than the price of a textbook:
Set up your students for learning success with lynda.com video training
courses. Specifically designed for the classroom, this program allows
educators to select up to 5 of our Online Training Library courses to make
available to your students over a predefined term that you schedule, all
for a dramatically reduced one-time fee that is pro-rated at 33 cents per
day ($10.00 per month). Student pay, or school pay; it's your choice.
Eligible teachers who sign up 10+ students get a free account.
