Re: 1:1 and home support

Dave -

You have certainly been hearing from a lot of tech people about what a ba=
d I idea it is to offer home support for students in your 1-1 program.=20

I don't disagree with this.

But a good friend always told me to "listen to the melody, not the notes"=
in questions. And to me underlying your question is the angst that paren=
ts feel about their child having access to a computer at home in terms of=
acceptable use and technical
support. In their concern, they have jumped to a solution in which the sc=
hool provides direct support for these issues, absolving both themselves =
and their child for responsibility.=20

This is the real issue that I'm hearing, and the one that I would address=
with parents and students.

tronic documents.
