Re: Digital Portfolios

I wonder if blogs, with very carefully controlled access, might be a good
long-term solution for student portfolios?

Advantages
-the software is already well developed and free, and is inherently
structured for accumulating information over time
-care and feeding of the portfolio is under the control of the person who
has the most motivation to maintain it over many years
-each portfolio would reflect the personality of the student in style and
presentation as well as content
-blogs would allow students to not only present their best work, but to
reflect upon it
-commenting is easy for those permitted access
