Test calendars

Friends,

We have a very old, home grown, test calendar created with Cold Fusion
which needs to be replaced by free or purchased software so we don't
have to worry about updating the code when errors creep in. Our test
calendar is a link on our web site. Teachers can login to it and are
able to post major tests and assignments. They are listed on each date
from first submitted to last. The idea is that no student can have more
than 3 major tests or assignments in any one day. The teacher listed
first on the date, gets first priority. Students can login to see what
is listed and if they are over their limit they can go to the teacher to
make other arrangements. =20

Does anyone have a vendor or an open source solution for similar
software? We use PCR Educator and are aware that there is a test
calendar with it, but the teacher has to be using the Grade book in
order to use the test calendar and most of our teachers do not use the
grade book. Our solution has to be really simple and easy for all to
update and view.

Thanks for your help with this.
