Re: Cyberbullying resources

I have had several requests for the media that goes with my presentation on=
bullying. I have pulled together links to three of the four items that are=
linked to slides in the presentation. The location where they are used sho=
uld be obvious in the presentation. I have provided some context around eac=
h as listed below. The item that is not included is a recut of Christmas St=
ory around the bully subplot.

Bullied to death: They committed suicide because of bullying
This presentation opens the presentation and plays during the first 4 minut=
es prior to the start of the presentation. Usually, people are near their s=
eat or sitting and talking with their neighbors as I kick this off. Some in=
dividuals stop what they are doing and watch while others continue to try a=
nd carry on their conversation. I have even come to the end of the video on=
ly to have parents ask me if these were my kids. When the non-focused paren=
ts hear the context of the video, you can hear a pin drop.

Remix of A Christmas Story: This is a remix I made that follows the sub-plo=
t about bullying. This is used near the beginning of the presentation to pr=
ovide context for a discussion surrounding the anatomy of bullying. I do no=
t have this online at this time.

Startwars Kid: Used as I tell this case story and link it to the staying po=
wer of the Internet to keep the bully incident in the face of the victim. A=
lso, look through the comments and weep. They can be very raw and vicious w=
hich also speaks to the human aspect of this problem and why it is not a te=
chnical problem. These are people acting poorly. http://www.youtube.com/wat=
ch?v=3DHPPj6viIBmU=20

Hero in the Hallway: Used at the end of my presentation to provide context =
for closing comments and focus on empowering students. This usually leads i=
nto a very active Question/Discussion session.
