Re: Netbooks

We are looking at the possibility of getting a set of netbooks for each gra=
de 1-5. We have been testing various models and brands with students and te=
achers in each grade. Our teachers in the grades 3-5 are extremely excited =
to use these and believe they'll fit perfectly into the classroom and curri=
culum. Our 1st and 2nd grade teachers are a little more hesitant because th=
ey think the netbooks are a little too small and these students would have =
trouble grasping the small screen/keyboard.=20

I'm curious if anyone else has been using/testing netbooks in the 1-5 envir=
onment. If so, what discoveries have been made regarding these age groups a=
nd netbook?

We (EdisonLearning, formerly Edison Schools my current employer) are also e=
valuating the Netbooks so I am very interested in this thread, plus interes=
ted in the 1-to-1 angle. Anyone test the Dell Mini, I think it's either 10=
or 11 inches?
