Technology Integration Specialist
The School seeks a Technology Integration Specialist. This is a
full-time, 12-month (July 1 - June 30) faculty and administrative
position reporting directly to the Director of Technology and indirectly
to the Dean of Faculty. The Technology Faculty / Integration Specialist
is responsible for teaching of the technology curriculum and integrating
technology use within the classrooms. In addition, the position supports
the overall responsibilities of the Technology Department.=20
General Duties:
Serve on Curriculum Committee
Plan, implement and evaluate a
technology curriculum that supports school goals in collaboration with
the Curriculum Committee and Technology Council
Teach at least two full courses
throughout the year
Coordinate evening computer lab
coverage.
Manage computer labs with procedures
maximizing use of services/resources.
Support delivery of network and computer
maintenance services as directed by Director of Technology
Serve as internal Whipplehill
coordinator/liaison
Elevate the level of use of technology
used in teaching and learning
Establish an environment which
encourages creative and independent use of all types of technology
Guide faculty in the selection, purchase
and use of technology resources
Assist faculty and students in the
production of special learning materials such as displays, videos,
multimedia, etc.
Provide in-service training and
information for teachers that promote effective utilization of
technology and the development of innovative instructional practices
Participate in professional development
opportunities in educational technology
Additional duties:
Serve one residence hall duty per week,
satisfied by supervising the computer lab one evening each week between
Sunday and Thursday
Serve on a weekend team
Participate in Interim Week
Coach one season or equivalent
Lead a group of advisees
