Karl, What is expensive, building the server to support this or Wimba
itself? We are getting ready to go live with our Moodle site and I'd
love to know more about this.

WE use the voice tools from Wimba which are supported by moodle. In
moodle, teachers can record their voice, produce podcasts, setup voice
bulletin boards, send voice e-mails & chats. It's a great solution, but
expensive.

Does anyone know if there is a voice-enabled forum module for Moodle? Or
Jason, could your development work go in that direction? Is voice data
transfer too bandwidth-intensive for typical Moodle servers? Wimba's
forum works pretty well, though a java exception did crash my browser
when exiting. It would be great to have this same type capability within
a Moodle module. Karl- I'd be interested to hear more details about how
you integrate Wimba with Moodle, and what you mean by "it's not the
perfect solution."
Thanks,
Demetri
