Re: cell phones

I think that policy is often developed by persons who do not understand the technology at
its present moment. Still, time for reflection is important in developing policies. Too
often, however, persons who are unfamiliar with the developing technologies are in
position to make uniformed decisions about what should or should not be a tool for
education.

My position: most technologies are potential educational tools; we need to be thinking
how that can be accomplished rather than dismissing the technology as either unuseful or
antithetical.
