Re: Document imaging/scanning

I would like to add one thing to this thread. The original post came =20
from a school which deals with learning disabled (dyslexic) students. =20=

As such they may be in need of more than simple page scanning, which =20
are nothing more that photographs of the page. They may also need to =20
have those documents be accessible. This means OCR of the documents.

As musch as I love the Mac and I use it all the time. For OCR work =20
Windows is the platform of choice with Abbyy Fine Reader. On the Mac =20
platform Kurzweil 3000 is great but expensive.

There are organizations that will do this work for you if you are in =20
need of accessible documents.
