via the same login as the Macs are bound to the AD Directory. The
computers are also bound to an OD master on an Xserve. I manage
permissions via computer work groups. These include mounting a common
share point where faculty can "drop" documents and students can pick
them up, shut down times, dock items, etc. Part of the Server Admin
tools is an application, Workgroup Manager which allows for ease of
management at the user, group, computer, or computer group level.
I use ARD to copy files, install applications, remotely shut down
computers, etc. We also use ARD to share screens in class.
