Re: Good K-8 websites for kids

David,
There are several really huge sites I would recommend. Most of these are lists of sites that have been vetted by educators and have stood the test of time (having been around for at least 10 years or so):

Thinkfinity.com
Discoveryeducation.com - classroom resources (includes the great guide by Kathy Schrock)
BlueWeb'n - http://www.kn.pacbell.com/wired/bluewebn/ (especially http://www.kn.pacbell.com/wired/bluewebn/search.cfm)
Site Reviews from Education World - http://www.education-world.com/awards/past/
Bernie Poole's EdIndex - http://www.pitt.edu/~poole/edmenu.html
Larry Ferlazzo's Best Of series - http://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/about/my-best-of-series/
eThemes from eMints (Univ. of Missouri) - http://www.emints.org/ethemes/index.shtml
TEAMS Educational Resources (LA County Office of Education) - http://teams.lacoe.edu/
Educational Web Adventures - www.eduweb.com

These will keep any teacher busy for years!
