Re: Digital cameras

I am in a lower school. The library provides each classroom teacher with a
camera that is checked out for the year. These cameras are for the
teachers to use as needed. Most of our teachers put photos in newsletters,
on their webpage and on a CD at the end of the year for each student. I am
the tech coord. and 1-4 computer teacher at the LS. I have a set of 10
(department owned) cameras. I train students beginning in 2nd grade on
proper camera use. Teachers will borrow the cameras for projects or field
trips. I use the cameras for projects with the classes and with an after
school club. I keep the battery chargers in the lab and when cameras are
returned, I handle the charging. The cameras are usually ready to go at
any moment. I only send the cameras home for specific projects and with
specific training. Each year, we budget to buy 2 new cameras for the set.
It seems that we manage to lose 2 a year to accidents. We prefer the Sony
Cybershots.
