Re: Scheduling Software

Hi Deanna,

Albuquerque Academy uses Senior Systems' for our SIS. While we are happy
with the overall product, their scheduling module left a lot to be
desired. We did look around at a few independent scheduling packages and
were unable to find one that would provide the quality of schedule that
we wanted. So, I feel your pain. We are fortunate enough to have the
expertise/resources in our IT department to write our own scheduler. I'd
offer it to you, but I'm not sure it qualifies as 'user friendly' since
it was written, not as a commercially viable product, but rather as a
specialized solution to our specific scheduling needs. However, if you
use a cycle-based schedule, with a fixed number of periods and you can't
find anything out there, feel free to contact me. It might not work, but
could be worth some discussion.

Subject: Scheduling Software

Hello everyone,

This subject might have been circulated before, but at that time we were
not interested, so here I am: We are a middle size independent school
(enrollment 1080) and are looking to possibly use at a different
scheduling software (other than Blackbaud). What are you using and what
are the best features? We would like something that's user friendly and
meets our needs. I appreciate all suggestions.
