describe. Parents have unique logins, can update their contact information
including emergency contacts, doctors, alergies, etc. This does NOT
generate an email but there is a place in the database to 'approve' (or
disapprove) the changes. This generates a lot of work initially as parents
tweak and add to their data. The portal also has a searchable school-wide
directory where they can see 'public' information about other families
(names, street addresses, phone numbers).
I suspect this isn't unique to PCR and that many SIS packages offer a parent
portal with similar capabilities. Feel free to contact me off-list if you
