Re: Raiser's Edge

You do not want to run any Blackbaud software on a Mac. Raiser's Edge
is a server based application that is relatively time consuming to setup
and maintain. =20

The minimum requires (and I would recommend not going with just the
minimum):

Client - Windows 2000 or higher. Office 2000 or higher. 1 gig ram.=20
Server - Windows 2000 Server or higher with SQL server 2000 or higher, 1
gig of ram for small databases, 2 or more for larger.

If you will only have one user using Raiser's Edge both the client and
the server can be run on the same machine, so you won't need a Windows
server. (However, the requirements for this machine would need to be
pretty hefty as Raiser's Edge (as well as all Blackbaud apps) really
test the limits of a computer's memory and processing power.)If two or
more will be using it, you will need a Windows 2000 or higher server
with SQL. =20

Subject: Raiser's Edge

Just wondering if anyone is using Razor's Edge on a Mac running
Parallels. We're an all Mac school, but are contemplating using the
software. Also, I know nothing about this, I'm guessing it runs on a
server, would it have to be a PC? Thanks.
