FW: Server Room Environment Monitor?

At our school, we had the same problem of monitoring our server rooms (we a=
ctually did lose AC and the servers overheated!). I found a stand alone un=
it that monitors temperature and several other alarms. It calls up to four=
phone numbers in sequence until it gets a response. The unit is made by S=
ensaphone (we have the model 400). I can't remember the price but it was u=
nder $300 if I remember right.

Subject: Server Room Environment Monitor?

Hi All,

=20

Last night we lost the air conditioning unit in our server room and were
lucky to have caught it early enough this morning to prevent any major
damage. While we've never had a temp sensor in the room before, we've
decided it's time to go that route and were wondering what others might
be using to monitor the temp/humidity/etc. in their server rooms?

=20

I'd really like some kind of hardware sensor that can send automatic
emails/phone calls/etc. when a designated threshold has been crossed.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

=20

Barrett
