Re: Teacher candidate screening

This comment recently came up on twitter:from @acmcdonaldgp
Just thought of authentic tchr interview question. Give tchr comp and 5 min=
utes to answer a very challenging question. Practical?

My response was that it would truly show how creative and innovative a cand=
idate could be. "Answer" could be in any form - verbal, typed, visual, pres=
entation, ???

It has possibilities.

Request that a candidate's application reflect his/her current skills:
allow only electronic submission of all supporting documents. Have a
candidate upload digital elements and links to elements that demonstrate
his/her skills: movies, podcasts, blogs, graphics, webpages, online surveys=
,
online newletters, interactive quizzes, worksheets, and games that s/he has
created, used in various content areas, and embedded in his/her
instruction.
Require all applicants to reply to the job posting electronically.

would like to have a prescreening electronic form that will give me an idea

instruction and also their interest in and ability to learn about
technology in education. Have any of you used such a form/survey and if so
will you please share?
