intranet web posting policy?

Dear All,

For those of you with password-protected web portal/intranet solutions
in place, what differences, if any, are there in your policies/
practices about what can be posted on world readable pages vs. those
hidden behind a password? I'm talking about kids' names, captioned
photos, information about class whereabouts at different times of day,
etc.

Links to real policies would be very helpful. I won't copy any of them
without asking permission :-).

Thanks.
