Alternate Reality Games as Learning Environments- Online session tomorrow

Tomorrow (Saturday Aug. 29th) at 11:00am CST, I will be taking people on a =
one hour online adventure that will demonstrate how Alternate Reality Games=
(ARGs) can be used as creative and engaging learning environments. The ses=
sion will take place in an online environment known as Elluminate which is =
hosted by Classroom 2.0. You can access this site at http://tinyurl.com/cr2=
0live
.

Well designed games leverage the latest in learning theories and engage pla=
yers through compelling narrative. Learning should be like a good book, you=
don't want to put it down. The engaging power of narrative and creative op=
en-ended problems can be leveraged to draw students into course material. H=
ere they work collaboratively to solve problems that are ill-defined leadin=
g to the development of real-world problem solving skills. Participants in =
this session all receive a prize at the end. You can find more information =
on my blog and the classroom 2.0 links below.
