Re: two way radios

One other option to consider is the "EnGenius DuraFon" long range
phones. They are not cheap, but have amazing range. The phones have the
bonus that you can hook them up to analog ports of your phone system for
use every day. If out of range of a base station, but in range of
another handset, you can call directly from handset to handset like two
way radio.

If you do decide to buy one of these, beware that you only get a
manufacturer's warranty if you buy from an authorized dealer and there
are only two (that I could find) online authorized dealers. Everyone
else (amazon, buy.com, etc-- are not authorized). There is a note about
this on the engenius web site.
