Re: Imaging of Laptops (Software)

neoOffice. I wish I knew more FOSS for Mac. There doesn't seem to be
as much as there is for Windows and Linux. Funny part is that many Mac
tools are highly evolved proprietary tools that came from the open
source community. iPhoto, for example, is F-spot. The base OS comes
from BSD Linux.

I love the Mac tools! I wish they threw back to the Open Source
community as much as they took out.=20

Subject: Imaging of Laptops (Software)

Our school loves opensource software, our teachers are very willing to =20
try it out and utilize in the classroom. As I am preparing our image =20
for the 08-09 school year, I am curious what things would you =20
recommend I put on it?

So far I have CMAP Tools, GoogleEarth, Tux Paint. But I am open to =20
other tools.

We have iWork '08 and iLife '06, as well. These are 1.83 GHz Macbooks =20
with 2GB of RAM. Running Mac OS 10.5

Thanks!
Lisa
