Job Opening for next fall: Lower School Computer Teacher

Bentley School seeks a full time, Computer Teacher for the Lower School
(K-5). Will work directly with both teachers and students, and determine
computer programs and technology projects that best enhance or reinforce
classroom curriculum. Will report to the LS Head. Masters degree in
Education Technology or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

Additional Information:

1. Computer Lab: In collaboration with classroom teachers, the Computer
Teacher will work to tailor and lead the work in the Lab to support the
on-going classroom curriculum, while providing opportunities to add =
basic
technology skills. Each K-5 class typically visits the Lab one period =
per
week; the Lab includes 22 multi-media computers connected to the =
internet
with hi-speed Ethernet.
2. Integration: Working with the teachers, the Computer Teacher will =
provide
guidance and creative input toward the integration of technology into =
the
classroom as well. Currently, each K-5 teacher is supplied with a laptop
computer; each classroom is outfitted with WiFi and an LCD projector.
3. Training: The Computer Teacher will be responsible for training and
supporting teachers in their use of administrative technology, such as
communication tools, online grades and comments, and web pages.
4. Scheduling: The Computer Teacher will work closely with the Middle =
School
Computer Teacher and the Technology Department to schedule and maintain =
the
Lab and other technology resources, including some audio-visual =
accessories
and software.
5. Curriculum Mapping: The Computer Teacher will coordinate the Lower
School's curriculum mapping program.
