Re: Netbooks

We have been using Lenovo's S10e/3 for the last couple of years. In our
environment (K-8), we have (3) S10-3 carts and (1) S-12 cart of 20. We
deployed Lenovo S12's this school year. Either model can satisfy the
requirements of online research, word processing, basic spreadsheet work and
even minor video editing. They are very popular and are in use almost
everyday. We are definitely getting a lot more bang for our buck.

There's no need for a full blown notebook with a dvd drive and other futile
features for the kids anymore. If they need more features, we have a
notebook cart and computer lab that can meet those needs.
