Re: Google Adwords

For 3 years I funded $50/month with two different adds and heavily targeted key words. We saw the best results when we had a dedicated landing page to click through from the add. When we dumped them on to the home page they didn't stay long. Enrollment improved over the last two years so I suspended it this year but we keep it paused and will reactivate it if we don't make enrollment goals by early 2011.

One other thing I notice in the analytics: For most of the first year and for the first month or two of the school year each year there after, it appeared a lot of parents clicked on the ad after searching for the school name. I would not recommend including the school name in your keywords or you will be paying a lot for parents who use Google in lieu of bookmarks or typing in the URL.

Subject: Google Adwords

I am looking to learn what schools are paying for pay-per-click advertising
on a monthly basis.

Please let me know if you are willing to offer this information and I will
do so as well.

Best,

Mark
