Re: Fake Teacher Facebook Profile

Tom,

I don't know if this will help, but these are the instructions I found on =
FB. I know this happened once with my daughter and I was able to send an =
email directly to FB, but I can't find that link anymore. You've probably =
tried this, so I apologize if I'm giving you information you've already =
tried. I'll keep looking for you and see if I can find the link I used =
before.

You can report a profile that violates Facebook*s Statement of Rights and =
Responsibilities ( http://www.facebook.com/terms.php ) by clicking the =
"Report/Block this Person" link in the bottom left column of the profile, =
selecting "Fake profile" as the reason, and adding the appropriate =
information. The following categories of profiles are prohibited on the =
site:=20

Profiles that impersonate you or someone else
Profiles that use your photos
Profiles that list a fake name
Profiles that do not represent a real person
Profiles that have been compromised

Be sure to choose the correct report type to help us verify the information=
. Facebook reviews every report we receive in order to determine whether =
or not the content violates our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, =
and will take appropriate action. Rest assured that these reports will be =
kept confidential.

We recently found out that one of teachers now has a fake Facebook =
profile, likely setup by a current and enrolled student.

Of the other students that have requested him as a "friend" we have asked =
that they report the profile as a fake. As of right now it looks like the =
site has been up for over a week and Facebook has done nothing about =
removing the page.

Does anyone know of a way to contact Facebook to either make them remove =
the profile or request the email address the profile was setup with so we =
can track down it's creator?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
