Re: T1 and ADSL

I agree that a T1 is going to be a bottleneck. Of course, you must take a
look at exactly what amount and type of traffic is on your network. DSL
is OK, but the asymmetrical properties will probably make DSL a short term
solution. Metro ethernet type services are definitely the trend and the
way to go. Bandwidth continues to be more abundant and costs continually
decrease. As someone else mentioned, upgrades are a snap as well. I
would definitely recommend the use of a shaping device to curtail P2P
traffic and shape those who are utilizing extreme amounts of bandwidth. I
have been field trialing the NetEqualizer product with much success. The
NetEqualizer is cheap, easy to install, simple set up and it works! Good
