Re: ASUS EeePC

We are currently testing 2 eeePCs with the thought of using them in our
fourth grade laptop program next year. We have had our fourth and fifth
grade students test them and they love them. Adults have found the small
keyboards challenging, but the kids have had no problems adapting. I have
some concerns about battery life, but am hoping the extended battery that
has been announced will remedy that. The kids liked the OS (we have
edubuntu running on the two they are testing, which was easier to install
First Class for email and a few other linux apps we'd like to use) and
were able to move files between Open Office and Word with no problems.
Right now, the testing has been successful enough that we're planning to
pilot eeePCs in two of our laptop carts next school year.
