Re: Jacob Smith posts

This listserv has been immensely productive and valuable to many of us over a very long period of time. It was particularly useful while we were all undergoing the beginning stages of computer use in all parts of our schools. When we began, we had a very active "board" that kept an eye on message-traffic. We were all in the same boat in our schools -- just some a bit further across the pond than others. Gradually, we got more philosophic, and for those of us who had the nuts and bolts under control, it was interesting to be stretched that direction. But, steadfastly, we have tried to stay away from anything that involved "personal gain" of any form. We even stopped posting most jobs and jobs-wanted. Jacob Smith -- if you are an independent school educator, and if you are selling nothing or have nothing to gain from posting, how about starting again and posting something of interest that we can all use or talk about?? Tell us about your school. To the rest of you -- it is alw!
ays a pleasure to hear your thoughts and progress.? THis listserv has been a source of joy to many of us as we struggled with issues and needed support or wished to touch base with others in independent schools.

I agree with Kim and J Gaston. I find the this listserv helpful and enjoy
reading the posts from others. For some reason your (Jacob Smith) posts are
out of place for this listserv in my opinion.
