We are exploring the possibility of having a two week "mini-mester" experience as our Upper School exams finish before December break but our semester does not technically end until several weeks into January.
Are any of you using this kind of time in an interesting acadmic experience? Do you have one shared focus area? Any kind of culminating experience?
Additionally, we are considering this mini-mester experience for our Juniors in that no man's land time post AP and not yet end of the year time--a kind of "Gateway" experience for several weeks where perhaps they could explore a topic of interest
on a deeper level or perhaps run this time througha focused lens such as conflict . . .
We are in the very early stages of exploration here and I am hoping those of you with some type of similar program can provide us with some guidance.
