How common/rare is it for 1-2 faculty to be part of a Head Search Committee

I am a huge fan of being "data-driven" in the spirit of Jim Collins. Our
Head of School is retiring as of Summer of 2009 and there is a Search
Committee from the trustees. I am trying to find out HOW COMMON or HOW
RARE it is for faculty to be participating members of the Search
Committee. I am hoping to get at least 33 responses from all of you.
Please send to sbergen@cstorefront.org and please do not burden the
listserv. Anyone interested in the results of this esoteric question can
go to http://www.cstorefront.org/dd.html and view the tally. Thanks much,
Steve
