IMPORTANT RSS UPDATE/INFORMATION for those following ISED-L by RSS feed. Please see http://tinyurl.com/2cq89z or click here.

I wanted to let everyone know about a technical change which I
implemented last night and may change your feed content and your
reading process for ISED-L content.

If you subscribe to this feed, it is likely coming through Feedburner
with a feed address of http://feeds.feedburner.com/ised-l_blog. Until
last night, that address was receiving content from Blogger,
concurrent with the posting of content on the "Independent School
Educators' List (ISED-L) Blog" (which is merely aggregating content
from the listserv. That feed was a full feed, but it also suggested
the posts were by me (they weren't, they were just coming through my
Blogger account) and may have included the full email addresses of
those who had posted to the listserv.

Following some impassioned discussion, and learning that the listserv
actually produces a RSS feed (albeit undocumented), I changed the
input to Feedburner. **The Feedburner feed is now coming straight from
the listserv at Syracuse.** On the one hand, this means that the feed
is "straight from the horse's mouth." On the the other hand, it means
that the feed is no longer a full feed but rather just the headline
(or subject line) and the writer's name.

This means that those of us using the RSS feed as the primary method
of receiving the listserv content will have to **click through** in
order to get the full post to read. Granted, this might be another
step to go through, but I believe it addresses the majority of issues
raised by those members of the listserv who were opposed to the blog
and the feed. Click on the title of the post, and you'll be taken to
the ISED-L archive and that specific contribution to the list.

Anyway, I felt it was important for those of you who are here on the
RSS feed realize what the recent change was, why things look
different, and how you can get the content with just one click on the
feed title in your reader.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me
off-line at pastinson@gmail.com or on the list.

Peace,

/s/ Peter
