Re: safe picture search

I haven't found any that actually return pictures that are useful.

For our K-5 students, we use Picassa web. I find images the students
will use, and upload them to a picassa web page. Then the students go
to this one page to download the images they need. It takes some time,
because I put the citations along with the images, as our students have
to cite.

Subject: safe picture search

I'm looking for a way that our students can do an internet search for
pictures that is safe. Many times a google search results in an
inappropriate picture, despite our firewall. Does anyone have a
suggestion for a site that would result in a good result for some
advanced
words - i.e. adjectives or abstract nouns. Thanks.

:) Laurie
