Re: Extensive use of LDAP?

We use Raisers Edge and it is Active Directory aware which is simple to set=
up. I also have some LDAP programs that are not so simple but work well onc=
e operational. So look for Active Directory aware applications before LDAP =
applications.=20

Subject: Extensive use of LDAP?

We are interested in speaking with schools that are making extensive use of=
LDAP (or it's cousins open directory & active directory) to serve purposes=
beyond user authentication to various servers. Specifically, we are intere=
sted in using LDAP to serve as a central repository for directory informati=
on of common demographic fields currently hosted in several different syste=
ms, including FileMaker, Raiser's Edge, and Microsoft Dynamics.

The last time we tilted with this windmill neither LDAP nor other software =
systems were ready to play nicely with one another. We'd like to take anoth=
er look at this and would love to learn of schools that are having success =
in this area.

Tks.
