Re: Global/Electronic Permission Slips

We do online registration each year and part of this process is =
electronic AUP and permission slip. The AUP is a Yes only choice (and =
they can't register unless they select Yes). The AUP also allows all =
use of school work and the student's picture for the website and school =
marketing materials. Parents are no longer allowed to opt out of using =
their student's pictures as this was a nightmare.

I am not sure how the field trip option works. I can email our database =
director who is the one who manages the online registration. I just =
know that parent never need to fill out any paperwork or pay for (as it =
is included in tuition) any day trips. This means teachers don't have =
to deal with any paperwork or money. Overnight trip costs are added to =
registration cost by grade, but there is paperwork for these overnight =
trips that teachers deal with.

If you are interested in seeing what we have written up, let me know and =
I will try to find out.

All --

Hope your summers are terrific and relaxing.

We are a K-8 school that takes a LOT of field trips. It's a major =
logistical headache (and paper drain) to send out and collect permission =
slips for every trip, no matter how small -- hard on the teachers, =
challenging for families, etc. Do any of your schools just have parents =
sign a "global permission slip" that authorizes students to go on =
school-related, daytime field trips? If so, would you be willing to =
share one with me? Anyone know why such a slip would be problematic?

Along these lines -- anyone use an electronic permission slip of some =
kind? =20

I'm sure this information exists, but I am having some difficulty =
tracking it down, and ISED is invariably my go-to in these circumstances =
-- thanks for any help.

Best,

Mitch
