Value of tech in uncertain economy

Hello!

As you may know, NAIS recently a blog entitled Managing Technology During an Economic Downturn. Go to www.nais.org/go/communities. This blog was created by members of the NAIS 21st Century Curriculum/Technology Task Force to provide NAIS members with a
forum for discussing and sharing information and resources on how to manage technology during an economic downturn. All NAIS members are welcome to participate in the blog.

I will post next week on how we can best communicate the value of technology and tech-related decisions to our parents and I would love to hear examples from your school. Have you had concerns from parents on the costs of technology (perhaps your laptop
program? perhaps technology fees? tech infrastructure upgrades?) and how have you handled those? What can we as independent school administrators due to ensure that our families understand the value of technology at this time?

Thanks so much! I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
