through scripts as much as possible. I agree that spammers get these
anyway from many sources. Our barracuda works really well. I used
monitored it tightly. Now, I almost never look at it and we get little
spam. Not sure exactly what our stop rate is, but it is very high and
without false positives. The initial monitoring helped me determine the
quarantined and block levels and I added a few rules. All our settings are
significantly different (lower) from the suggested ones. We get very
little spam and most of that goes into quarantine where a user can handle
it.
