Eudora Welty's Secret Sharer: The Outside World and the Writer's
Imagination

July 6-11 or July 20-25, 2008

Millsaps College, Jackson, Mississippi

Come into Eudora Welty's world--into her house, her garden, her hometown.
Study her fiction as

you experience the world that sparked her imagination. The National
Endowment for the

Humanities offers this opportunity. Each K-12 educator selected to
participate in a weeklong

workshop will receive a $500 stipend and a travel supplement.

Applications must be postmarked by March 17, 2008.

Announcement of awards will be made on April 16, 2008.

The workshops will be directed by Welty biographer Suzanne Marrs.
