Re: Data backup plan

Hi, Stewart

There are three documents on the NAIS website that are useful for this
type of planning. The first is about document retention and destruction
policies for schools in general (all documents, paper or electronic).
The second is specifically about electronic documents. The third is a
sample document retention policy from an independent school.

Overall, I don't think you can create a plan or legal statement about
electronic documents that is separate from the planning and policies for
the paper documents. The two should be under the same umbrella, with
specific notation as to how the electronic documents are managed.
