How do students meet the requirement of having the latest MS Office Pro
Suite if they have Linux? Do you allow Open Office if they have the
ability to save natively in the latest MS file types? Just curious?

We permit any laptop... including Mac and Linux.
Like you and some other posts, we don't have the kids on a file server
or even on the domain. They are responsible for backing up to usb
drives, etc.
