Systems Administrator

Riverdale Country School seeks an experienced Systems Administrator to
join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have significant
knowledge of Mac server and desktop configuration and deployment in a
cross platform network environment, as well as experience with managing
Windows servers.

We seek a candidate with experience in a school environment and a strong
appreciation for the role of technology in learning. We highly value the
ability to learn rapidly, teach, and share technical knowledge and skills.
Technologists at Riverdale work in a closely collaborative team; a strong
fit with the departmental culture is essential. Strong communication and
inter-personal skills are also required to foster positive interactions
with our user base and the community as a whole. The Systems Administrato=

will report directly to and will meet regularly with the Director of

Riverdale has two campuses with 500 Mac- and Windows-based clients. We
manage and maintain desktop and laptop clients using tools and
technologies such as XenServer, SAN, Active Directory, Ghost, System
Center, Apple Remote Desktop, DeployStudio, Open Directory, Workgroup
Manager, Scripting, and Composer. General departmental responsibilities
include managing directory systems, backups, networks, printers,
collaboration/groupware systems, and participating in teaching, training,
curricular integration.

Mac platform, preferably in a thin-image environment.

=95 install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain 160+ Mac OS X desktops =

laptops on the Hill Campus=20
=95 install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain Mac OS X servers and Op=

Directory=20
=95 manage backups along with disaster preparedness planning=20
=95 manage images of Mac OS X computers, including centralized deployment=
of
patches, updates and configuration changes as needed.
