If it is a single signage flat panel display, then you might be best off
simply using power point...
Otherwise, you could look into signage scheduling software. However,
software for scheduling and managing digital signage systems can be very
expensive...A good digital signage system/software package would allow
you to schedule different information to different panels at different
times of the day. For example, there might be a panel in a student
commons area that cycles through student announcements, athletics news
(and video clips) in the morning prior to school starting. After the
start of the day, the panel might then display student life
photos/videos and student artwork and so on. All this would be
happening while a panel in a main entrance/lobby area is displaying
different info.
We are planning on pre-wiring our school to be support displays to five
locations during a construction and renovation process that will begin
in the next year or two. We're taking a look systems like the one from
Panasonic--who knows what will be out there in 2-3 years though:

Subject: Digital Announcement Boards?
Liike many schools, we have produced a daily announcement document,
listing all the events the day. Years ago, we only made paper copies,
which we distributed to the teachers and posted around the school. Since
email, we now also send the document to our news and student email
conferences.
Now we would like to add a digital announcement board to our student
meeting area and have purchased a flat-panel TV for this purpose. I know
other schools have done this. What softwear programs would you
recommend?
Ideally we like to alternate each annoucement with a picture.
Thanks,
Bruce
