Here is a resource page that I put together regarding podcasts...the =
first few links have info on creating audiocasts with windows =
OS/software. It is a little dated, but still relevant.
Below you'll find a link to a project that we did with our 5th grade =
students last year...they made virtual tours of University School by =
taking a bunch of digital photos, writing a collaborative script with =
google docs, and recording their podcast on a mac using garageband. =
You'll need a user name/password to access the files (user name is usm, =
password is wildcat)...there are other samples of a project we did with =
7th grade students in English class as well.

0Podcasts.html
We're still not at the point where students have their own live =
publishing rights for podcasting...hopefully we'll be setting up a =
podcast server on site so we can add this functionality later. =20
Wikis are great and super easy for having students publish their own =
audio/video files. I believe there is a way to generate a feed off an =
audio file stored at a wiki and have it listed in iTunes, but I don't =
know. Here is one of my student's portfolio wiki pages: =
http://ashtonw12usm.wikispaces.com/Course+Portfolio . Students in my =
middle school media production class are all using pages like this to =
highlight some of the film shorts they've created and to write a little =
project reflection.
Good luck!

Good Morning,
=20
Our English Department Head is asking for direction from any of you who
may have ventured into the podcast arena.
=20
Is there a Windows program that a novice could use to create and post a
podcast?
=20
Does anyone have advice for creating a project where students create
their own podcasts?
=20
Thank you for your help.
