If you live in the Washington, DC Greater Metro area and would like to become more knowledgeable about Islam, the "Seminars for Teachers" program at the University of Maryland has a wonderful opportunity for you.
"Architecture of the Islamic World" will be offered as a one-day seminar on November 28, 2007, with Professor Lindley Vann. While exploring this fascinating architecture, participants will learn more about Islamic history and religion - very important themes for today's current events.
For more information about participating in this, or other seminars, please go to www.arhu.umd.edu/outreach/sft, or contact cmaclean@umd.edu.
