Open Source Scheduling Program

Last year someone mentioned a program for a Windows computer called
Lativ, it was a scheduling software. We do our scheduling by hand for
students and while this is okay at times because of our small numbers,
it also is cumbersome. We use phpSchedulIt for lab check out but have
found difficult to create "schedules"

Does anyone have any suggestion for an open source scheduling program?

Thanks,
Lisa
