Re: netbook

By far the best netbook I have used is the Lenovo X100 series. It has a
98% keyboard, it is the high end (business) class, so rugged design. =20

The only drawbacks I have had with the X100 I have is it runs hot and it
only gets about three hours of battery life. (I have heard the 100e is
better on both those fronts.) =20

They start at $399. You can even have Lenovo install XP Pro for $50
more. =20

Those that have never used Lenovo are in for a treat. Their service is
the best I have ever had to deal with. There turn around time for parts
is 24 hours. Unlike other companies, they will send out the part if you
request it, so you can repair it even if you are not an authorized
repair center. If you need to send in the laptop, it is usually back in
three days. You can also add in theft and accidental insurance through
Lenovo without having to deal with a 3rd party company. I had a
computer that had been run over by a car, and I had a replacement in
less than a week without any hassle.

I go through Laptop Schools for all my Lenovo computers
(www.laptopschools.com). =20

Subject: netbook

We are interested in piloting netbooks at our school. They will be used
for researching on the internet, google apps, educational games on the
web using flash.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a model?=20
