Re: AV preferences

Another school who changed from Symantec to TrendMicro. As a newbie, I
find TM to be pretty easy to navigate and administer. The pricing was
really good in comparison to ESET, AVG and Vipre. I checked a few
others too.

I was always a big Symantec Corp fan, but it was such a resource hog on
Windows clients. I mean really bad. Maybe it has improved since v10 but
we moved to Trend Micro and have been very happy.=20

Before presenting this to my Head of School as a straight-forward
financial cost, I was curious if the ISED community had a preference
between these products: ESET, Vipre and AVG (business, not the free
one). Specifically, I was wondering if anybody has real life experience
with a product or company. Is the software 'light-weight' in terms of
load on the system? Is the central control interface useful and
informative? Was the software balky and troublesome to install or
maintain? I will need to uninstall Symantec Corporate Edition 10 from
the client computers, so if anybody has relevant tips on that...
