Mimio interactive whiteboards

Is anybody out there that is (or that has considered) using the Mimio
portable interactive whiteboard devices? On paper they seem to have a lot
going for them: primarily that they are portable and less expensive. Both
of those are strong considerations for my school, as we are just introducing
smart-board-type tech and don't yet have the budget to place devices
everywhere. The Mimio could be moved to any room where a teacher wanted to
use it for a lesson. When it isn't being used it can be folded and stored
on a bookshelf. It is hard to see the negatives but I'm guessing they are
out there. Anybody have practical experience or advice on this? Are there
other brands that have similar portability in their design? We are
(probably) not looking to put a SmartBoard-type device on a rolling stand
due to the physical restrictions of our school (no storage areas, no
elevator to move between floors).

We have one Promethean board and were told it would cost $1500 to move it to
a new room (and that if we didn't have professional moved it would void the
warrantee)!

Feel free to reply off-list.
