the recent issues at the school near Columbine a couple weeks ago.
We have very little other than color levels associated with locking
doors, turning off lights, moving away from windows/doors, no talking,
and no exiting the room.
Seeing this topic reminds me that I never completed this project.
Biological issues should probably be a consideration.
We're near a commercial airport and a military airport, so certain
geographic / demographic issues might also be a consideration.
I'd really like to see something formal someone has done.

Subject: School "lockdown" procedures
All --
I am developing a set of regrettable, but necessary, "lockdown"
procedures for our K-8 and early childhood campuses, in the event of
someone coming on campus to do harm to students/teachers. =20
Both campuses are urban and have permeable perimeters -- walls/fences,
but scalable -- and our classrooms, which have been designed to let in
maximum light, are therefore, of course, highly exposed to the outside.
If your school has "lockdown" procedures that you'd be willing to share
with me off-list, I'd be very grateful.
Best,
Mitch
